Could it be a case of misleading advertising?
Many people in the United States were under the impression that as soon as Obama's Health Care bill would be passed their medical-financial problems would be over. Maybe delusional should be added to their medical profiles. Nothing is that simple.
Even though the actual health care bill is long, detailed and convoluted, it'll take years to be activated, and by then many of those unfortunate people suffering prior conditions will be long dead. That's the unpleasant truth.
The United States is an enormous country. Governing, administering the health care program will require a large bureaucracy. Like every government project all over the world it will cost much, much more than the estimates. That's a given. Good luck, America.

ObamaCare will be a nightmare once its implemented. Not to mention the fact that it's totally unnecessary--we have Medicaid for the poor, Medicare for the elderly, private insurances, clinics that charge on a sliding fee scale based on income, and hospitals that provide free care in emergencies and hospitals that provide cancer care for free (St. Jude's Childrens Cancer Hospital).
College kids can get basic insurance (and are even required to have insurance) through their schools.
Why we need the government regulating health care is beyond me. Unless it's ultimate goal is to regulate society (abortion, infanticide, euthanasia etc).
Keli, it's not so simple. The middleclass falls between the cracks. Many working people can't afford healthcare. I know that from friends and relatives.
